The Marrs were in Singapore again (it was approximately the 11th time within 2 years) en route back to Australia. Detour? Cul-de-sac? Nope, it was the rendezvous.
We headed off to Singapore on the 24th of December. I guess this was the shortest international flight journey but the longest road trip to the airport to me, ever! The distance from KLCC to KLIA was more than 70km. It took more than an hour to get there, it was killing and it was unbelievably boring. However, the 40-min flight was incredibly pleasant.
Christmas Eve. We got off the plane, checked in the Novotel on Clarke Quay, and decided not to be one of those ordinary people. We had to be extraordinary – let’s just go to Vivo City. We had heaps to do down there. It was the very first rendezvous cuz we wanted to see the shining diamond floor, we wanted to meet the po-po in the Food Republic, we wanted to try the S’pore style Laksa and the fresh “I squeezed myself in the morning -_-;;” juice, and a lot more!
Before that, I did a little bit of reading in the hotel room about what’s on there. Consequently, I thought I might eventually fulfill my dream of buying a new SLR camera this time. But where the hell is that AH Shop? – Well, it was just a joke, seriously, a Liang Court joke… We were accompanied by this joke all the time while in Singapore.
On Christmas Day, the Marrs ran a candy shop right on the Orchard Road. It attracted people from all over the world cuz it was a sweet Christmas in the tropic.
On Boxing Day and the following 2 days. We just had too many rendezvous that I’m not gonna tell you anymore. Among them, let’s just say we did say good-bye to “the oldie and mee in Autumn”.
