The Land of 2 & 5 a Day - 28/09/2008
I’m just so wondering why it’s always been more than hard to get a 196k photo uploaded! I’ve almost been lynched in this fashion in the past a few days, and the first photo was only uploaded ACCIDENTALLY. But I’m committed to making it work and sometimes I do know that I’m actually in a “you don’t talk to the president directly” position when it comes to the relationship between me and my using of an island public (I hope so) network in my own house. So, as I am such an understanding person, I am now to make this entry complete.
My beautiful Year 5/6 had been rehearsing a play, The Land of 2 & 5 a Day, for 2 weeks and the show was finally on in Week 9. Everything was super and jam packed. I love you, my brilliant kids!
The background of the play

Some of the most stunning kids in the world - Matt, Angus, Jaye, Georgie and Marie.

As of the day before yesterday, Erik and I were finally through the dark and twisty Term 3. The whole world is bright and shiny now because of the end of another term and the coming of an eagerly awaited 2 week break.
2.10pm of the Friday arvo, we rushed out of the school (even faster than the kids), got changed, flew to the Flying Fish Cove, jumped into the cool unspoiled water and had a really great snorkeling (if we could just ignore the truth of a leaking snorkel) together with an American visiting yacht. Mr John C told me earlier that arvo that the left hand side of the ship ramp has got countless tropical fish at the moment, more than you can imagine and more than ever. So, that was just our turf and that was more than true. Later that day, we had some dinner, which was not quite enjoyable because a ditsy woman had been talking jabbering loudly in a kind of Asian language not unbearable to everyone but very much so to us (notice that we sat actually very far away from her). We then calmed down when returning home and Erik made us some good tasting juice mixed with fresh apple, carrot, ginger and mint. We watched a new episode of Prison Break and this lulled me directly to my own dreamland where I turned out to be the “just call me Cole” and was stuck in the office. Somebody came to rescue me so I had a fight with the Child Detection Agency… Apparently, I mixed PB so much with the Monster, Inc.. -_-;;
On Saturday, great Curry Chicken plus great Japanese Green Tea and a very unusual tidy up activity to welcome dad and mom to come over to Christmas Island and stay for the next 2 months!
Today, we had the mild version of Hae Mee for the very first time. It was still very hot but tantalising. Then I started fighting with uploading a 196k photo while Erik was reading A House Somewhere and Christmas Island, Indian Ocean.
I realised that I made this entry very long. That was because I realised how reluctant I was to update the blog. Now, I decide to change my life by making an entry every single day, or at least every 2 or 3 days, or at least once a week for sure.
